We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants to join our healthcare team. CNAs play a crucial role in providing direct care and support to our patients/residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a CNA, you will work under the supervision of licensed nurses to assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient conditions, and contribute to the overall delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assistance to patients/residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to maintain comfort and prevent complications such as pressure ulcers.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant patient information accurately and promptly.
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff, ensuring timely communication and documentation.
- Assist with medical procedures such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection, following proper protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients, including regular cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms and equipment.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients/residents, listening to their concerns and providing reassurance and encouragement.
- Follow infection control protocols and adhere to safety guidelines to minimize risks to patients and staff.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and observations to support the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in nursing assistant duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients/residents.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
